10 View commentsJohn Daly is well known for his fast living but his appearance on Bryson DeChambeau's 'Break 50' YouTube channel has sparked concerns among his fans.
The 58-year-old said he had been drinking 'since 9am' on the day of filming and told DeChambeau he was on his 20th drink of the day when he cracked open a can on the golf course.
Daly was barefoot throughout and chain-smoking - a habit he is already well known for.
But he was guzzling on his own brand of booze - the John Daly 'Good Boy' vodka drink - throughout as well, which says it is 4.5% in strength on the can.
'How many Good Boys are you deep today?' DeChambeau asks Daly early on in the video, that is nearly an hour long.

Daly was also chain-smoking through the show, a habit he is already well known for
'Oh I started drinking at nine this morning,' Daly says. 'Might be the 20th. I've slowed down I've slowed down a little bit. This is an important day, I'm with my son and we are going to break 50.'
Daly also showed DeChambeau how he has an inbuilt fridge in his golf buggy to hold drinks while he makes his way around the course.
On Reddit, the drinking admission from Daly sparked concern with one fan saying: 'Super high quality of golf, but man that was kind of sad to watch.
'Said he started drinking at 9am and was 20 drinks in... John's incredible to watch, but I wouldn't exactly want to be where he is at in life right now.'
Another said: 'Dude is 58 and looks like he could be pushing 70. Might just be one of those guys who has a super resilient body, but man is he putting miles on it.'
Fans also said that DeChambeau appeared uncomfortable throughout the footage but the US Open champion has played up his interview with Daly upon its release.
'This episode was absolute chaos,' DeChambeau wrote when he posted about it on X, alongside a crying-with-laughter emoji. He also commented under the YouTube video itself: 'What an episode, John Daly is an absolute legend.'
Daly, for his part, shared the video with the caption on X: 'Break 50? Let's break the internet.'

But Daly's comments about drinking sparked concern from some of his fans on social media
Daly has never made any secret of hiding how bad his diet is.
'Rich Beam calls me 'camel' cos I never drink water. I drink diet co*ke, I like to have ice which to me is water so I get plenty of water in my diet co*ke,' Daly said in an interview with Graham Bensinger in 2016.
'I don't drink water. I hate water. I cannot stand to drink water. I used to drink 12-20 diet co*kes a day, I'd go to McDonald's three or four times a day. To me they always had the best fountain drink.
'Burger King, McDonald's, Taco Bell, I love them. I used to be able to eat two Big Macs, two or three cheeseburgers, chocolate shake and regular co*ke back then, sitting pretty easily.
'My 17th birthday, I was a kicker for the football team. I got 17 tacos and I was still hungry and got a couple burritos after that.
'I don't eat a lot of fast food any more. Burger King has the best burgers, McDonald's has the best fries. I'll go to Burger King, get the BK and I'll just take the meat out and eat it. I have a tough time with bread. Sometimes I can eat bread, sometimes I can't.
'I don't eat beans spinach, broccoli, any of that stuff. When I was young my dad would force it down me and I would throw it up.'
In September 2020, Daly was diagnosed with bladder cancer that he later said was benign but would need regular trips to his doctor for the next five years.
